Hola Todos!
Tuesday after class, we had our first group outing – a walking tour around Madrid! The places we visited included, the Plaza Mayor, the Mercado de San Miguel, the oldest restaurant in the world – the Botin Restaurant -, and the Palacio Real. We also visited a street where the tradition goes that once a couple gets married, they have to walk through the street or they will not stay married…Spanish people are very superstitious. It was a very interesting tour, and the roomies hung out afterward, which is when I got some churros (btw, they are not normally sweet here, but with a little sugar they were awesome)!
Hasta luego!
The oldest restaurant in the world? That’s really cool, Copenhagen has the oldest amusement park in the world, but its pretty expensive so I haven’t been.
Cool cool! The restaurant is really expensive too, like around $22 a person. :$
I paid 14$ for a sandwich in Norway, so 22$ doesn’t sound too terrible to eat at the oldest restaurant in the world, lol.
